Chapter 6: Self-Monitoring with Time Robbers and Time Savers

In this chapter, students learn to see themselves in time more clearly by recognizing how distractions—called Time Robbers—can impact their ability to focus and complete tasks. Students are guided to identify both internal distractions (like hunger or fatigue) and external ones (like noise or technology). Through this process, they gain the skills to self-monitor and proactively reduce distractions. Students also explore Time Savers—practical strategies they can use to stay on track and move toward their goals with greater intention and focus.
